Aire closes SEK 15 million funding round and expands into Finland
June 23rd, 2026
Over the past year, Aire has quadrupled its net revenue, established operations in Finland, entered into new strategic partnerships, and strengthened both its organization and board of directors. To accelerate continued growth in Sweden and internationally, the company has now secured SEK 15 million in new fundning from existing and new investors.
The energy system is undergoing a rapid transformation. A growing share of weather-dependent power generation and new market mechanisms are creating a greater need for intelligent control and optimization of energy assets. Aire helps energy asset owners maximize profitability through AI-based optimization, full transparency, and support throughout the entire value chain, from investment decisions to day-to-day operations.
Today, the company's platform optimizes both individual energy assets and hybrid energy sites, including wind power, solar power, battery energy storage systems (BESS), hydropower, charges, and industrial assets.
“We are entering a very exciting phase of growth. The transition to a more flexible and sustainable energy system is creating a growing demand for intelligent control and optimization of energy assets. We are delighted that both existing and new investors share our vision and want to be part of our continued journey,” says Gustav Österström, CEO of Aire.
The funding round brings together both existing and new investors with experience in energy, finance, and scaleups. With the new funding, Aire is well positioned for the next phase of its development, focusing on continued product innovation, international expansion, and an active role in the transition to the energy system of the future.
The funding round is led by existing investor Spectria Invest together with Starbright Invest, which joins the company as a new investor.
“In a short period of time, Aire has demonstrated strong growth, clear customer value, and an impressive ability to turn vision into results. We look forward to supporting the company in its next phase of development,” says Lovisa Skyborn, Partner & Investment Manager at Starbright Invest.
“As a shareholder in Aire, we have seen the team grow and take important steps forward over several years. The company addresses a clear and growing market need and is well positioned for its next phase. We see significant potential in the journey ahead,” says Dan Friberg, Chairman of the Board at Aire and Chairman of Spectria Invest.
